Poker Face

Here's a few pics from the other night. It had been too long since we'd all gotten together.

Andy & Jill and Rachel & Scott

But not long enough to forget that Doug & Scott are ridiculous and they make me want to hurt myself haha-- Black Jizzack--ahh!

Ughhhh Roxie is the worst. She is such a freak whenever people are over! Oh and thanks to Scott for destroying the table and the carpet... come again soon! haha. Jk- I know I have no room to talk. And Miken, the Fondon't was awes.

Concert

I got a last minute invite to go see Imogen with Mikey & Jill on Thursday. It was so awesome. I love her music and it sounded exactly the same. It was crazy what she could do.

This guy opened and he was ok...minus the last song. Him and the other guy that performed before her were pretty exhausting. Everyone else seemed to be into it and we just stood there wide eyed looking around like wtf. It was funny. We at least liked their dance moves haha.

I could've stayed all night and listened to her...minus my sore feet (at least i wore flats) and the dancing fool next to me who kept bumping into me. He was like 5'2" and I wanted to fight him--Don't touch me! Anyway- it was awesome and took me back to my days of dancing on stage with The Samples at club DV8. Good times...Oh and chillin on their bus afterwards. They were dirty old men but I loved their music...

...and since we are on the topic of music i LOVE--So I have been obsessed with Lady Gaga for months...but her new song
Bad Romance my new fave.

Happy Birthday BFF ♥

Elsha's big 3-0 is coming up on Monday so we hung out all day today. During the day we got some lunch, cruised with the top down, and hit up the Gateway. Shopping with Elsha always results in the following: me watching her spend more money than I even have in my bank account, trying on hideous things just so we can take pics with our phones in the dressing rooms and me having to be the mediator between her and whichever retail worker that doesn't meet her every need-haha. She is a one of a kind friend and I ♥ her.

After all day in Salt Lake we met up with Jason and went to dinner at Red Robin. Love the R&R. I ordered her the amazing apple crisp and then ate all but like 2 bites of it. I may love it as much as the chocolate lasagna that used to be at Olive Garden...R.I.P.

After dinner we came back to our house for hot-tubbin, watched one of our favories- The Emperor's New Groove & gave her her bday present. Elsha and I both love the new key necklaces by Tiffany's so this was the next best thing AND it wasn't ten THOUSAND dollars! I wanted to keep it so bad-good thing she loved it, haha! The highlights from today were: struggling in the parking garage, 2 hrs in forever 21 and the body sock. Hope you have a great bday Elsh!

The Night Before...

Kelly & David invited the fam over for dinner to their apartment in West Jordan. Their place is so cute. Jase couldn't come cuz he had to stay home and work on a big presentation he had to give at school the next day...Glad that's over!

Kelly & "Daffy"

My tummy hurt (and there were too many players for Settler's) so me and mama just hung out on the couch....

...Somehow me, Miken & Kelly got talking about Jake, the next Bachelor coming up, and were trying to explain to my mom how cute he is and that he's right up there with her beloved Paul Walker so we had to show her this picture of Jake. It was a hard sell, so we were explaining how he has the nicest body ever, to which she replies "So where's that picture?" Ridiculous.

Mikey & Eddy

And of course Dad quoting Nacho the entire night added to the experience. I love my family.

Happy Halloween

So we actually spent Halloween at home this year. Shannon and Jason stayed outside on the driveway and passed out candy most of the night. I would just keep checking on them to make sure they hadn't frozen to death.

Me & Elsha stayed in and ate soup & made cookies

Our mistake to think Roxie could handle kids coming to the door... She got a little too crazy/excited

I actually felt bad putting her in her kennel. She would whine & pace back and forth and rub her big nasty lips on the bars. It was funny.

Kris (Elsha's bro) and his wife Jaclyn stopped by to say hi

Us and the finished product...which almost wasn't...I had set out the Halloween cookie cutters earlier that day but later, couldn't find them ANYWHERE! We all searched the whole house and finally Elsha found them stuffed in the bottom of a drawer...I swear I do NOT remember doing that. I have been losing my mind lately! (This would be a good time to publically apologize to Jessica for the Coke I apparently put in their freezer and left there. Just one more thing that I have NO recollection of.)

The Night Before:

Jason's sister Jess always does a murder mystery dinner. This year it was based in the 50's. Jason was supposed to play a dork/practical joker. He was hideous. I'm pretty sure I said he was hideous like 50 times. Oh and ps tonight just confirmed that I am terrible at acting/improv. SO awkward.

Jason, Jessica (the skank) & Jared (the bad boy) in their costumes.

Thanks for a fun Halloween!

Football & Deer Hunt

Last night we went over to my parent's house & watched the BYU game...well not that there was much to watch haha

Miken looked so cute in this picture that I had to post it for no other reason

Me & Mikey

We played some cards after the game

I ♥ my dad...even though he called my bangs a comb-over. Thx.

The night before...

...We spent up at Jason's grandma & grandpa's. Last weekend was the start of the deer hunt and I missed it cuz I was in Canada so I was glad we got to go up this weekend for a bit.

Grandpa & Jason's dad

I always look forward to hopping in the truck with the boys and riding up to the barn to look for deer

Grandpa using the spotlight to scan the fields

We saw 3 big bucks which was exciting. Here you can kinda see them!

The boys went up in the morning and stayed up there til lunch. They ended up not getting anything but I was ok with it :) This is only the 2nd deer hunt since I've been around that Jason hasn't hit one. Its only ok cuz Jared didn't either. Thanks for the fun, boys!

Canada

I spent most of last week with in Canada with my work friends. We were there for an oral surgery convention- the same one that we all went to in Seattle last year. I really thought it would be colder than it was which was nice. Here is a picture of us (me, Kristy, Sadee & Alysa) at dinner on Friday night. Dr. Newey only gets to be in the background haha.

Me and Kristy... really just trying not to feel out of place

Sadee and her friend Sherrie from another Dr's office in Oklahoma where Dr. Newey went to school

Thursday was the first night that me and Kristy got there. Everyone else had been there a couple days longer. That night we went to dinner at a place called Barberie's. The owner came over and chatted with us and told us that Elizabeth Taylor first got proposed to at the table next to us. Apparently it's a pretty popular little place.

The convention center wasn't too far away, but far enough that we had to grab a taxi or hop on the shuttle. I was broke which meant the shuttle for me... I had a rough go at it. One day I got on the wrong one was kicked off by the little asian driver who just yelled at me that he didn't go to the Four Seasons Hotel. So I got off in the middle of nowhere and started to cry. I don't like to travel without a babysitter haha. Just ask Jason...or Elsha. She had to babysit me in Mexico.

Overall I made my way around ok. I just tried to look like I knew what I was doing. When I tried going up the escalator to one of my classes at the convention center, a worker stopped me and directed me down the hall where the "sewing convention" was. I said I was with the Oral Surgery convention and he made me show him my badge. Then he felt bad. Apparently I didn't fit in with all the business women and the Dr's in suits. Maybe it was my side pony and knee high boots...but I ended up having some good conversations about my marketing position and giving advice... I was like...hold please...seriously, you people want advice from ME? haha.

i ♥ 27

This weekend was the best ever. It was my birthday on Saturday but Friday pretty much felt like my birthday too. On Friday, my work totally spoiled me and Jason took me shopping later at the Gateway. Then we stopped by my Grandma Coyla's house for presents & pie with my aunts & cousins. On Saturday Elsha took me to breakfast and me and Jase did a little more shopping. Around 3 we met up with my family to head up to Lava Hot Springs for the night.

We got there and decided to walk around for a bit and check out the shops.

My dad found this nasty chair & cozied up to it. He likes to look for any opportunity to do something hideous.

We we finally went to the hot springs and it was HOT. And no I did not say Eddy is hot...

My parents on the other hand...wow. Neither of them wanted to be too sexy for the camera.

Filthy water monkey.

David & Kelly

Getting dark! We couldn't sit for very long. We kept standing and sitting- it was hard to find a comfortable medium!

After leaving we went and had dinner at Winger's. It was the best quesadilla I've ever had. We were starving.

Yay for birthdays! Free dessert.

We got to the hotel & they gave me presents - cute shirts that were really soft. Everyone knows I'm obsessed with "softies".

We played some skip-bo, Pugmire style

We went for a late night swim since the pool was open 24 hrs. The pool was so warm even all the girls got in. It was the best.
It was the perfect Birthday-I LOVE being 27!

Not Much.

That's what I always say when people ask what's new with us. Which is true--but we are still up to stuff I suppose. This weekend we went up and visited Jason's grandparents near Morgan and took some pics while hanging out there with Grandma & Grandpa and Jared & Jenny. We had dinner, ate pumpkin cookies & took the four-wheeler up to the farm which was fun.

I am going to miss the Deer Hunt this year because I will be in Canada for work so it was good to go up and feel like I didn't totally miss out.

High heels...I know, right?

I also thought I'd add a recent pic of the dogs...

...lately Miko has been getting cozy in Roxie's kennell which is super weird. She is a fool.

Oh, also Jason got the hot-tub up and working since it's been out of commission for almost a year....which brings me to my next point...

...we really miss Justin & Court. Boo.

Justin-- hot-tub talks with Jase and a settler's marathon will be waiting for you whenever you make your way back to visit...but I am making him clean up the card room...he has been reluctant to do it...some dreams die hard.

Car Show

This year my family went to the "Cold Cones Cool Cars" car show in Kaysville because my dad decided to have is car entered this year. I think he usually goes to the car show--hence his obsession with saying "Cold cones cones cars" all year long. Ridiculous.

Mama, Jason & me

Mama & Mikey

Of course I had to get a pic with the sign...and the old man singing tunes

So we all gathered around when they were giving out awards and my dad got all "sad faced" when pretty much every award was gone...and then they named Mark Pugmire's as Best in Show. Made his year no doubt there.

With his precious baby and proof of how awesome it is... Despite how perfect his car is, I was still pretty surprised he won since there were close to 100 cars there.

Great turn out if I don't say. AND PS I STOLE ALL THESE PICS FROM MIKEN

Git Goin Summer

I love this time of year, now that summer is almost over. I have never been a summer girl, except for maybe the 5 occasions during the summer that I get to spend at the pool. I like cool, fall weather, which to me means lots of things; zip-up hoodies, hot chocolate, the deer hunt, boots, halloween, sweatsuits, and of course harfs, right Jord? Fall really wakes me up in a way... like I've been dead all summer. It starts getting cooler and I finally appreciate being outside for more than ten minutes at a time and I even start wanting to be more active...that's right, I'm implying exercise. Believe it. Maybe its because all summer long the heat just zaps my energy and all I want to do is sit inside with Miko & my diet coke? Probably. So today with chilly weather just around the corner I was feeling excited & energized and decided that it's time to dust off my Turbo Jam dvds. I'm ready to actually do something besides work and sit at home catching up on our favorite shows...I will just do that afterwards. Wish me luck cuz tonight I did the first 20 min. of real exercize I've done in probably months, and my legs about gave out when I tried to run up the stairs. I just have to tell myself that I am a work in progress...Hopefully my cute/comfy new workout pants will keep me interested. Whatever it takes, huh? Wish me luck.
